Hoarder Clearance & Cleaning in Manchester & Greater Manchester

A severely hoarded property can be overwhelming for the person living there, their family, a landlord or anyone suddenly responsible for managing the property.

Pocket Rockets Greater Manchester provides hoarder clearance and specialist cleaning throughout Manchester and Greater Manchester, approaching every property with sensitivity, patience and without judgement.

We understand that hoarding is not simply a case of a property being untidy.

Properties can contain large quantities of possessions and waste, while more severe situations may also involve spoiled food, human or animal waste, sharps, pests, odours and other potentially hazardous contamination.

Our aim is to help make the situation manageable and restore the property to a cleaner, safer condition.

To discuss a hoarded property confidentially, call 07386 214037.

Compassionate Hoarder Cleaning Without Judgement

People affected by hoarding can find the idea of strangers entering their home extremely difficult.

Embarrassment and fear of judgement can prevent someone from asking for help even when conditions have become unmanageable.

Our team understands the importance of treating people, possessions and homes respectfully.

We are there to deal with the property, not judge the person living in it.

The same approach applies when we are contacted by relatives, landlords, housing providers or other organisations trying to resolve a difficult situation.

What Does a Hoarder Clearance Involve?

No two hoarded properties are identical.

The amount and type of work required will depend on the volume of items, the condition of individual rooms and whether hygiene or biohazard issues are present.

Depending upon the circumstances, our work may include:

• Clearing accumulated items and waste
• Cleaning heavily affected rooms
• Deep cleaning surfaces and fixtures
• Sanitising affected areas
• Addressing severe hygiene conditions
• Cleaning areas contaminated by human or animal waste
• Identifying potentially hazardous areas
• Specialist cleaning where biological contamination is present
• Needle and sharps-related support where required
• Helping return previously inaccessible areas to a more manageable condition

We can discuss the particular property with you before work begins.

When Hoarding Becomes a Biohazard Issue

Not every hoarded home is biohazardous.

However, some severe environments contain contamination that requires more than an ordinary house-clearance service.

This can include human or animal waste, bodily fluids, spoiled organic material, sharps or other potentially hazardous substances.

Pocket Rockets Greater Manchester combines hoarder-clearance experience with specialist biohazard-cleaning capability, allowing us to deal with properties where these issues overlap.

Hoarder Clearance for Families

It can be difficult for relatives to know where to start when they discover the extent of a loved one’s hoarding.

The scale of the property may seem impossible to manage, particularly when rooms have become inaccessible or hygiene conditions have deteriorated.

You don’t need to solve everything before contacting us.

Explain what you know about the property and any particular concerns, and we can discuss what may be required.

Hoarder Cleaning for Landlords and Property Professionals

Hoarding can also create difficult circumstances for landlords, letting agents, housing providers and property managers.

A property may require extensive clearance followed by deep cleaning and, in some cases, specialist biohazard cleaning.

We can assess the cleaning situation and provide an appropriate service according to the property’s condition.

Severe Hygiene and Contamination

Some properties require significantly more than removing accumulated possessions.

Once areas are cleared, previously hidden contamination may become apparent beneath or behind belongings.

Where specialist cleaning is required, our team can address affected areas using professional cleaning equipment and products appropriate to the situation.

The exact work required depends upon what is found in the property.
