Yes. Pocket Rockets Greater Manchester provides 24/7 assistance for specialist biohazard and trauma cleaning situations. Contact us to explain what has happened and where the property is located.

Can a normal cleaning company deal with biohazard contamination?

Routine cleaning and specialist biohazard cleaning are different services. Where blood, bodily fluids, decomposition or significant biological contamination is present, specialist assessment and cleaning may be appropriate.

Do you clean blood and bodily fluids?

Yes. Blood and bodily-fluid contamination is among the situations our specialist cleaning service can assist with.

Do you clean properties following an unattended death?

Yes. We provide a dedicated Unattended Death and Decomposition Cleaning service for properties affected following an unattended death.

Do you provide crime-scene and trauma cleaning?

Yes. See our Trauma and Crime Scene Cleaning service for more information.

Can you help with biohazards in a hoarded property?

Yes. Hoarded properties can sometimes contain biological contamination, human or animal waste, sharps and other hazards. See our Hoarder Clearance and Cleaning service.

Unattended Death Cleaning

Who cleans a property after an unattended death?

Once the relevant authorities have finished their work and the property has been released, a specialist cleaning company can be contacted to assess and clean contamination associated with the death and decomposition.

Can I clean decomposition myself?

Decomposition can involve biological contamination that extends beyond what is visibly obvious. Specialist cleaning is intended to address these circumstances using appropriate equipment and procedures.

Can decomposition fluids soak through flooring?

Contamination can affect porous materials and may extend beyond the immediately visible surface. The actual extent varies from property to property and should be assessed rather than assumed.

Can you remove the smell after an unattended death?

We can address contamination and associated odour as part of the specialist cleaning process. The work required depends upon where contamination has travelled and which materials have been affected.

Will you treat the person’s belongings respectfully?

Yes. We understand that we may be working around possessions with considerable emotional and sentimental importance. Our team approaches these situations sensitively and respectfully.

Do you provide unattended-death cleaning at night or weekends?

Pocket Rockets Greater Manchester provides 24/7 assistance. Call us to discuss the situation and availability.

Do you cover Wigan and the rest of Greater Manchester?

Trauma and Crime Scene Cleaning

Do the police clean a crime scene afterwards?

The role of police and forensic teams is different from that of a specialist cleaning company. Once their work is complete and the affected scene has been released, specialist cleaning can be arranged where required.

When can crime-scene cleaning start?

Cleaning should not interfere with an active investigation or restricted scene. Arrange specialist cleaning after the relevant authority has confirmed that the area has been released.

Do you clean blood following accidents?

Yes. We provide specialist cleaning for environments contaminated with blood and bodily fluids following traumatic incidents and accidents.

Is trauma cleaning the same as ordinary deep cleaning?

Not necessarily. A trauma scene can involve biological contamination requiring different precautions and cleaning procedures from routine domestic or commercial cleaning.

Can you help landlords and businesses?

Yes. Our specialist cleaning services are available to private individuals, landlords, property professionals, organisations and businesses.
